Moon is a registered Half-Arabian, and was born on March 29, 2006. He was the first foal born at Obsidian Moon Ranch.
His name, Hilal Lamaan (HEE-LAHL LAH-MAHN) is Arabic and means "New Moon Flash". We chose "new moon" since March 29th was the first day of the new moon and "flash" because he was a quick, energetic little guy. He's calmed down a lot, though, and doesn't run around quite as much as he used too.
Moon is advanced level 2 on the ground and has been started under saddle. He attended a level 2 Parelli clinic with Marc Rea in 2009.
Moon is great all-around gelding. He gets along well with other horses and integrates with new arrivals easily. He's also great with foals and is often used as a babysitter during weaning. Also safe with our miniatures.
Moon is for sale to a good home. Payments accepted. May also consider temporary care lease to a natural horsemanship home. Will consider trade for wide width dressage saddle and/or horse-quality hay. Very athletic and playful, friendly and smart.
